    There isn't that much to the stove. As long as the rest of it is fine, a new cat, bypass gasket retainers, and gaskets might set you back ~$300. There isn't much else to go wrong. The whole assembly around the cat is pretty robust, the thermostat is sealed and simple, and there just isn't much else besides a steel box. IF you had to buy a thermostat, they are around $125, IIRC.

    Did you try again? Probably futile, but I know that when I have something on CL, I'll get an email when I'm busy and forget about it until I get another.

    The gentleman may have bought a house and it was in it? He may just want it gone?

    That is a great price on one of the greatest stoves made.
