Black Locust revisited.

So after Isaias Jo191145 had found some black locust down in my neck of the woods. I called and visited to no response. I thought all was lost, but this morning I got a call from the property manager who asked if I would still be interested and this afternoon Joe and I met him there to take it away.

Bigger than I remembered driving by. Only one tree. Could have sworn I saw two smaller ones. Must’ve been the heat

Joe, I spied another black locust on the way home. Found a spot to swing around and went back. This one had a tiny sign claiming ownership on it. Oh well, you win some you lose some Looking around I saw a house that had some of the larger rounds from it. It had fallen across one of those small V intersections that date back to the horse and buggy days. I wonder if they know about Locust Mania.

I think it's pretty low on the booze-trash-unit spectrum. You may want to use the fireball for shoulder season and Jim Beam or Johnny Walker Red/Black for the really cold nights.

 

If you melt them down first the the btu’s per cubic foot goes way up.

 

I run/walk a mile up the street, around the University ring road and back home every night. What lines the road is fairly disgusting.
Empty Nip bottle seem to have replaced empty cigarette packs. And yeah, fireball nips appear to be fairly popular.
I have to walk along the street and pick up crap before I cut the lawn because often it is glass or cans.

 

Great job fellas! Great wood too and yes they are bigger than they look as i know from experience.

 

It amazes and disgusts me the trash i see when im scrounging wood roadside. Ill PU the 5c cans sometimes but really dont want a bunch of empty beer cans in back if i get pulled over.

Jack Fire is much better than Fireball, smoooth. Never did understand the nip thing tho. Something to do with hiding what your up to I guess.
