Oh yeah. Stinky. Lol. Jig, table, and miter saws, one was burning during the cut.

Nice looking grain on the milled flooring. Once stained will be interesting to see.

Got a chance to talk with the female home owner this morning and she said they are not going to stain it. Just the natural color with some kinda clear/wax finish.

She also informed me all of their outside decking will be BL. They made sure to mill that first and then realized there was enough to do the inside floor too. She was very knowledgeable and fun to talk with.

Here are some pictures of a larger section we got done today.

If they use a wax finish, will dents show up in the wood with wear? Would a hard poly? finish be better?

I'm not sure. Poly might be better but I'm not sure it would age much. I'm new to this whole flooring gig.

The way she kinda made it sound was that they weren't gonna do any kinda finish. Talked about the color of the wood changing as it ages. Last i heard of that was with a specialty wood on an outside deck. Let it age to a uniform grey color and then clear coat. Can't imagine they wouldn't want some sort of "stain proofing" or stealing of the pores before something got spilled on it.
