    Under the same roof, up on a light fixture is a momma. She and her mate have been here for three seasons now I guess. Successfully raising many young right before our eyes. Do they ever eat some bugs! Can you see her? image.jpeg

    And this is what the female rose breasted grosbeak looks like. Strangely, the young males look very similar to the females until they get a few months growth.
