    Why does everyone get excited about huge jackpots? I could live very comfortably for life on $40 million, and still have plenty of inherentance to give my kids. I buy tickets whenever I have time in the store. Which I never seem to have time in the type of stores that sells tickets. Now if my local outdoor equipment dealer or aquarium (my other hobby) store sold tickets it'd be a different story

    Man what I could do with just a million… or even only enough money to not have a mortgage anymore… :thumbs:
    I haven’t played lotto in several years. At my last job there was a guy that would buy powerball tickets for whoever put their cash in the envelope on Thursdays. The idea was if there was a winning ticket, the loot would get shared between everyone that bought in. After a couple years management banned us from doing it, in case we won and they lost the bulk of their workforce in one fell swoop :headbang:

    I'd pay off the house and get the exterior of the Blaze cherried out! We never remember to buy any though except for Birthdays and Christmas Stockings.

    We watched a movie the other night where a retired couple calculated if they bought xyz$ tickets they would come out ahead and kept growing their profit. Cute movie!

    Anyone here from Loon lately? I want to ask if this statement is true.....just in case!

    I would hire my Canadian Friend to claim the Prize. Canada Does not tax money earned outside the Country. USA tax all money regardless of source or Country.

    I bought a couple tickets for several drawings last week. $24 total. I only play when the jackpot is over 400m. Why? because I want a jet. A Pilatus PC-24 to be exact, along with a small flight crew (pilot and detailer) and enough in reserve to insure, maintain and fuel the thing. Winning a small jackpot won't do that.

    Image showing up to a meet and greet with your newly purchased Wolff Ridge splitter and a couple new 500i's in the cargo bay.

    Yes, even with 400 million (after taxes), I'd still cut firewood.

    I won $600 in 1991, tickets were $1. I won thousands of gift certificates for my wedding in 1993.
