Yeah, we had some crazy storms this morning, and again the last hour or so. It is still lightning and thundering, but nothing like this am.
56 miles due east. Follow hwy 60 east where Columbus is, and go to about 3 miles from lake Michigan. There were branches down on roads this AM. We never lost power, no branches broken here other than a few small twigs, and no hail. Just a lot of pounding rain. Now it's just a light show over lake Michigan. Neat stuff. My wife is in awe of storms. They really never got lightning or thunder on the coast of Cali or even in Portland.
I hate to see those huge trees hanging over homes. I had mine removed. Isn't worth the risk. Lots of other trees that are smaller and less of a threat.
The light show made it across the lake. Every time I fall asleep I get shaken out of bed by thunder. Its almost constant lightning for the past 15 minutes. First good nighttime thunderstorm we've had this year.
Am I crazy? While it's sad the tree fell on the house, all I can see here is firewood. Houses can be fixed, and no one was injured. Cut that baby up for firewood. Yeah.
