I have been burning a lot of cherry lately cause that is what is coming out of the woodshed. It was a big tree for around here but nothing compared to your monster! Mine was CSS about 3 years ago but still has a faint sweet smell and of course the smoke smells good. Coals up nice and provides a nice even fire. One of my favorite woods. Nice pictures of the loads. You were very fortunate to grab that score!

I cut one similar to that years ago and it split when I was in the back cut I had to remove the saw from the bar I left the bar in the tree while I went to get another saw when I got back everything was on the ground. Many lessons learned that day.

I’ve always enjoyed cutting splitting and burning cherry. Seemed like a good all around wood!
