Boy, you're not kidding. My splitter split everything I could lift onto it, but I had to flip some pieces and split down both sides, and even then I had to cut some persistent fiber strands with an axe. If I had tried to split that by hand I would have gotten mad enough to stroke out before I gave up beating on it! LOL Luckily I had good help this weekend - my oldest grandson stacked splits while the youngest ran the hydraulics. We got right at two full true cords of split wood out of that pile, and tossed a little bit that was doughty (punky).
