Big oak I’ve been working on

I think I’ll replace both taillights while I’m at it. I’m sure the other is in about the same shape.

 

Funny you posted this, i just snapped a picof a monster white oak ill do someday. Its down by my river and shes a big one. Its cracking right down the middle of the crotch. I would think this thing has gotta be 4 cord. The canopy is tremendous also. I guess the guy that built my house had a zipline from the other side of the river up by the RR bed and anchored into this tree. Theres a 6 inch chain hanging in there at the top of the stripped bark area.

 

Yep, one that big is a test for a 290. Those big uns wear me out.

 

I’m looking forward to getting this one split and stacked. I’m not sure how many cord will be in this one.

 

The 290 was brought as a spare. The 362 has been doing all the work on this one.
