Yes, they just got their new feathers and have to test them out. Probably nice for them to get some new feeding areas too.

Wow! And we complain about the heat here... Fortunately, we are able to keep windows open at night through most of the summer.

That should be right Dave. 45th also runs through MI. We used to live just about right on it.

Right where I want to be.
Less than 6 miles from our place, there's a sign. It's just before the junction of M32 & M33 southbound going East.
    Saw it today......again.

It is so dry in Maine, even the weeds are not growing.

In driving my bulldozer, the ground is so hard from drought that its rattlings bolts and fitting everywhere.

I hope the lack of rain this summer for the east coast means an old fashion winter for us.

It's latitude, my camp is at latitude 44, we're at 1700 feet elevation. You were just a few miles away in the notch.

I'll try to remember to send up a smoke signal next time I'm in the area.

I heard a flock of geese Sunday night - sounds like they are starting to flock back up to practice their formations.

Yeah darn autocorrect.. the 45th parallel is about 4 miles south of the US Canadian border on interstate 89 . Has something to do with an old fort Fort in Lake Champlain near Rouses Point N.Y. its U.S. fort and a historic point of interest from french-Indian war but for a while was in the wrong country..

We usually start finding rubs anytime after about 9/3, which is not far away.
