Another day stuck inside. Winds today are averaging 45 mph. I think the wife and will go to town and do some shopping. Cannot do anything outside when it is like this. Checked in on the barn cats they have a shed to shelter in on the east side of the house. They are all in there hunkered down and sleeping together.
Our winds weren’t much stronger than that, but our ground is totally saturated, areas near us have had landslides. The saturated ground has made the damage from the winds much worse than it would be otherwise. We lost power Around midnight Tuesday night/Wednesday morning and still are in the dark, and power isn’t estimated to be restored for us until 11:00pm tomorrow night, so we are going to a hotel tonight, kinda looking forward to a hot shower. Fortunately this isn’t our house, but the sister of one of my Wife’s clients that lives near my Wife’s Hair Salon, we got lucky and didn’t get much damage from the branches that hit our roof, I think that it is limited to a few broken edge tiles, and nothing that is going to cause any water damage Doug
yep, around midnight, fortunately, no one was in the room that took the worst hit, had to be a Frightening experience, but Thankfully no one was hurt, but I don’t know the full extent of the damage, but the pic makes it look pretty bad Doug
That roof looks like it was cracked open like an egg shell. Looks like some pretty good size trees that came down on it.
