    I planted a bunch of Leelands. They don't do so well when rain freeze sticks to them. I've seen some people locally use a burlap wrap in the off season on smaller tree's to keep them upright and tight. A couple of mine could have used that as they got spindly. I've since resorted to planting Rose of Sharon for that privacy row. They aren't near as thick as your pics.


    I've also planted 2 oaks that are doing fantastic. One is a Pin and the other I'll have to take a pic of a leaf as I'm unsure the species.
    I do not suggest silver maple if anywhere close to a home. I have a huge overgrown one that if fell, would do quite a bit of damage. They fill the gutters multiple times a year too.
