my power company hires most of non emergency tree trimming out to sub contractor I believe named asplunda? they dropped 6 for me chipped brush blocked everything else to 4 foot. Then They thanked me.. those boys got a case of beer. they said if it makes homeowner happy and could hit a line they do it. Apparently they get a lot of complaints. I called and thanked them made sure to get foreman name and crew number!

Asplundt took down lots of shingle oak along my road frontage and hauled away all of the wood and scraps. The only problem is I found out when they were long gone because I do not live at that property. When I called the utility to complain they basically told me tough sh!t. Not exactly what I expected from them but I guess somebody got some free scrounges because I doubt the tree crew would have had much use for 8 inch trees.

Sorry to hear that Oldman47, if you were there they would have left it for you. The crews try to get positive reviews but you got to ask them. Too late now but you can get the plan for trimming from power company for others in same situation

I need to check that out because my tree plantation is now mature enough they are likely to start "pruning" it soon. I have zero trees planted in the right of way but with the attitude they showed last time I doubt that would even slow them down.

X2! Why didn't I think to mention that:picard: I used to do side jobs like that all the time when I trimmed right of way for Consumers energy. Might help if you woo them with some liquid refreshments.
