Grabbed a few bags (Clean Energy) of these this morning at my local Lowe's, that the UPC tracers back to Hamer's. Burning them as I speak. If they seem to burn good over night here, I will be returning for a ton tomorrow.

Interested to hear your feedback on those clean energys. Last year I snagged a few bags of private label hamers at TSC and they were super hot. A lot of ash but very, very hot. Speaking of that we need to start the HOT or NOT list for this year. Where's PoolguyinCT ?

I am quite interested in pine tree pellet fuels, I hope that fella makes his way over here. Doubt I would be able to get my hands on any, being as far away as I am, but I would like to follow the development regardless.

Yeap, They get more expensive when they get here. I do hear more and more are getting a ton or so for their stash.

So far I only have blazers available here, I might be able to get Olympus from BT Ent. So we are gaining ground on availability as last year I had no options except Purcell(which wasn't a big hit!!).........

Maybe next year there will be even more brands available?? North Idaho would be another I'd like to see venture their way over!!

He was on here a while back, Earl but haven't seen him here recently. I hope he makes a decent product, too, but I'm not holding my breath. I know what MWP went through when they started up and I pretty much expect he'll experience the same thing.

By the way, glad to se you made it here. The Mainers are showing up, slow but sure.

lots of people having this problem

btw - i used to drive through wanker's corner on my way to hebb park to put in w/ my canoe.
i'd paddle up past the ferry and then up the molalla to the pudding river.

hebb was one of my secondary urban paddles for when sauvies was closed for nesting season.
the inner waters at sauvie island are just about the top of my (very short) list of things i miss about living in portland.

i lived there from '69 to '09. i really hated PDX the last ten or so years there.
it's refreshing to live somewhere with "normal" people.

I burn these last evening. They burned very hot as Hamer products normally do and the ash was quite comparable to Hamer Hot One's or Somerset's. As you can see in my signature line, I liked Hamer's & Somerset's, so I did make the trip to Lowe's this morning and snagged a ton. They only had 3 tons left.

I'm burning those $198/ton Wood Fibers pellets in both of my stoves. My first impression was that they were pretty ashy but my bride sez no. She cleaned the house stove yesterday and she said there was only a small pile of ash in the St. Croix's ash pan. We've had the stove on steady for almost a week now… that seems to be a reasonable amount of ash.

    So far so good...
