Burned some Greene Team Platnium last year and they burned very hot. Lowes had them, got them with discount for $265 a ton. Last year HD charged $259 for fireside ultras which burned no were near as hot. Still have 2 tons left so I'll be using them for early season, and the new 4 tons for -6 degree temps lol.
Im actually starting the season off with my left over greene teams. Pretty hot pellet. A little ashy though. I dont think there worth what lowes is trying to get. They remind me of pro pellets a bit.
I burned a lot of them years ago and agree with your assessment. Stopped buying them when Lowes raised the price. Haven't bought pellets at Lowes since.
Lowes appears in my opinion to drop the ball on pellets. Thru price gouging and also keeping them stocked
Yes I agree, little bit more ash but hot. Non box store near me wants $300 for hot ones plus $80 delivery. Lowes was $20 delivery plus I got 10% off. Was almost same as HD for warm FSU's.
Saw some of these Clean Energy at Loews in Poughkeepsie. I have some Hamers bagged as Agway. Now that I know clean energy is Hamers I will pick some up. Thanks for the info.
MWP blend $224 u-haul at SIB wood pellet warehouse. we do have a TSC in town, i imagine their deals are similar to other TSC stores in maine. i think the stove shop in medway (nicatou) has crabbe for $239. i tried those and went back to my MWP blend. there is a guy starting up a new small scale mill in mattawamkeag, just 25 miles from here. pine tree pellet fuels i believe he hopes to be producing in 2016. i've let him know of this site. hopefully we see him here soon. i'm really hoping he succeeds. i'd love to have a producer right in the area.
Thanks for the welcome guys. I see a few familiar people here from another forum that I frequent. Kind of like it here though.
