Best gloves?

    I am a huge fan of the Atlas/Showa gloves. I have both the blue and grey(little insulation). Kincos makes the frost breakers with more insulation. If it gets really cold or wood is snowy and wet and you must be outside splitting wood I highly recommend the Atlas Vinylove. Insulated and a rubber outer(kind of like oil delivery guy gloves but with a higher cuff. Not a lot of dexterity to them so running a saw I would choose a diff glove, but running the splitter you can't beat them. They hold up really well and keep hands relatively warm.
