Oh yeah, I’ve had my share of yard trees full of metal. The last time was back in the winter when I was cutting up that dump truck load of white pine from Chipdrop. I hit a large hook from a clothesline. Today cheesed me off because the chain on that saw was freshly sharpened using my Oregon chain grinder.
You will love that 029 when Kevin gets it done. One of my favorite saws to noodle with. If you are serious about milling, get that 460 from Brad and let Kevin work magic on it. That will be a beast. Another thought, change the angle you are cutting at, more like noodling, might help.
