Trying waffles again, this time real yeast risen Belgian waffles. Got some batter... And some egg whites whipped to stiff peaks... Gently combine and leave to raise overnight. Too be continued...
While I was waiting to damper the stove back down after a refill, I snapped another picture of the batter. Maybe it will still be in its bowl by morning.
Jack, I'm having frozen waffles this morning, "not as nice as belgian" "BUT" I am having the hickory syrup on them! Oh, now you need Easter bunnies in your cord counter
This will be my first go at Belgian waffles with the hickory syrup, looking forward to it. Just getting up and moving now.
Waffles are done, made on the King of course. That's leftover maraschino syrup from when I was making fruitcakes in the second cruet.
It was MY first time and our first time doing it right. We tried them a little while back but with baking soda waffles. She didn't cook them to my liking so I took over and perfected the procedure.
If you guys haven't figured it out, I am a perfectionist when it comes to my signature dishes. Belgian waffles is such a dish.
Well, HI THERE! I am trying not to really really like your waffles. Almost tempted to set some up for tomorrow morning. No wood stove to bake them on though. And I had better not search for the recipe.
