Beater full of ash!

    I love having a little beater for getting wood! Drove right up next to an ash top left from loggers a few years ago, no worries about scratching paint! Kind of surprised, tops have been down for 3 years and my mm showed 36%!

    Of all the dead standing trees I have dropped, only one was ready to go into the epa stove after I had cut it and it surprised the heck out of me that it was ready!

    That's what I was trying to convey to noobs....just because it is standing dead, doesn't mean it's ready to burn.

    To me, standing dead means it usually only needs one year to season. Top wood can usually be burned the same year. Regardless, nice haul. Ash is great wood any way you get it.

    No surprise to me with the moisture. It just doesn't leave most wood when not yet cut up. But, once cut it should dry rather quickly. Good luck.
