I don't know if all of them do, just nearly every 12" wood order I've done was for a Jotul owner.

I talked to my friend last night on the phone and he is going to go check out the T6 as soon as he gets off work. At one year old and still having the full warranty with it and the blower I don't think $1600 is a bad price. They also have a ton of other stoves on display that he wanted to see so who knows.

$1600 is an awesome price for the T6. If he was prepared to go up to 2k for a stove, I think this is the perfect solution. Way better than the Cumberland Gap link.

We've got a log home with gypsum board, then a concrete finish coat, totaling about 3/4". Cold air gets between the logs and wall board and sucks heat away from the interior. With the small stoves I run it takes a while to warm the concrete/wall board up again if I let room temp drop too far. There are also a number of air leaks where outlets etc. breach the wall board. I've addressed the worst of those but still have a ways to go. Unless he has blue board or something inside the log walls, and minimal air leaks, I would go big on the stove. Is that 1600 sq.ft. just the upstairs? That T6 sounds like a hot deal. ;) Having a welded steel box means less maintenance down the road, and the convective shell will help recover room temp quicker.

Update on this: So he ended up buying the T6 and I think he got a heck of a deal on it. Got it installed Saturday and had the first fire in it Saturday night. So far he is loving it and is thrilled with the stove, the looks, and the performance. I went over how to set the burn up and a bunch of other stuff and he has no issues getting overnight burns with coals to reload on 1/3 loads. He is going through the typical learn how it burns that all of us have been through and I am happy he won't be having horrible back puffing from his old stove in the middle of the winter! I think he will be happy with it but time will tell.

Yep, I would've had a hard time passing that up. Let us know how it pans out; I'm guessing he will be lovin' it. :)

Called my friend last night to see how he was making out with the recent cold snap and he is LOVING it. Said there is absolutely no comparison to his previous stove and he can't believe he is going 12 + hours between reloads and still having coals to relight . Said when he gets up his house is now 72 degrees instead of dropping big time overnight. Hoping he likes it as much when it is -10 outside.
