Prolly not, I'm assuming by his comments they are back to using the mill they own in the Okanagan valley. But as long as they are from the mills in that area. We really would have a hard time noticing much difference. X2 Welcome to the group King Richard.
well, the Europeans pay more, and its in bulk....don't have to worry about bagging and distribution, stocking somewhere under cover, etc.....and the BOATLOAD of pellets is paid for by the time it leaves....I dunno, if I owned a mill, it seems an easier way to do business than to have to micromanage where the pellets go, listen to crabby retailers (see what I did there?), and crabby end users complain about price.......more money, less hassles....kinda a home run for the mill.
Benn away/sorry.But bottom line is pellet mfg are going for selling pellets to europe(as the have/are converting their power plants). They figured this out ten years ago.The major(and maybe minor) pellet mfg's know this, and have been moving that way.Canada has also been changing some of their power production plants over to pellets. Also remember that pellet suppliers(owners, company),only go for the profit.Over the last 15 years many companies have been bought and sold, and many of these have leased/bought/paid for other smaller comppanies to build/sell their product.Has been going on for years.
