If you want help stacking, I'll just bring my truck, and.. "One for him, one for me. One for him, two for me...."

    J/K

That's one nasty little injury. Take care of it.

So there you are-sitting in emergency-wondering just how long the shock will stay in effect before the real pain sets in-and the only thing you think of is taking a picture for all your hoarder brethren????

You da man, Mike, You da man!

Now you have to watch out over the next few weeks cuz any little tap that tip gets is going to light you up....!!!

I have had a few close calls before where I have pinched the tip of my glove between the log and the backstop plate. Scary for sure. Usually happens towards the end of a session when I'm wore out and distracted/not paying attention. If I have a lever man, rule #1 is no movement unless you can see all my fingers. I don't usually have any issues with the wedge side of things.

Glad you are healing up Mike and thanks for the reminder.

Soooo, how about the throbbing. No need for the nurses to take your pulse, just tell them when the finger pulses.

    Bump, bump, bump.

Sure glad it wasn't any further up the finger, you might have gotten two or three at the same time !!! Looking at your finger is kinda like seeing a lonely white wreath wrapped cross along the interstate.... they serve as a reminder to make me slow down just a bit and make me pay just a little more attention to my surroundings. I am thinking of printing a picture of your finger, having it laminated and mounted directly on my splitters reservoir tank.....

Speedy recovery to you sir, and thank you for the advanced warning, sorry though that it cost you so dearly in the pain department.

Hope you have a speedy recovery. I WILL use this as a good reminder to slow down and pay attention.

Unfortunately, our types being mechanically inclined and constantly working on and doing things, the odds of something happening goes way up. In my first career as a tool maker the old timers considered it a successful career if the still had all ten fingers after 30 plus years working around machinery. I knew quite a few guys with digits missing and one young guy with no fingers left on one hand, caught it in a 24 inch disk sander. I was in the same building at the time and remember hearing the scream over all the machines running.

Yes that is the plan. My boy is only 10 and my daughter 14, they should definitely see the reason why Dad is so strict around machinery. Lets them know Im not just full of hot air.

I remember way back, not sure if it was drivers ed or something else, but they'd show those gorry car wreck photo's. Those (mental) images took a long time to wear off for sure.o_O
edit; What am I thinking? This is 2016 and we (the kids) have the internet. The stuff you prolly can see there would mike my old drivers ed movie look like a buggs bunny cartoon:rofl:
