I think they are different woods. Aussie red gum is basically ground contact rated AND no way BTU is less that walnut. Hickory at minimum plus you know it’s 3 am in Melbourne
We'll have to wait for him to wake up. Red Gum/Eucalyptus as listed on the FHC chart i believe is what he has in his pics. Online pics of the bark look similar and Red Gum is listed as "River Red Gum". He listed his as Murray River Red Gum. IDK. Hopefully he chimes in.
I looked up an Aussie chart has BTU of 34.5 m per cord ranges sirbuildalot pretty sure is different river red is a eucalyptus family
Our Aussie Redgum is an awesome firewood that cranks out the heat as well as makes great coals for camp oven cooking as the Murray River is one of our great camping destinations and predominantly the red gums line the river and the wood is plentiful.
