I will add another vote for Dewalt I have the 20V and it has done everything I ask of it. I use the back pack for fall leaf clean up and big jobs. The 20v grab battery and go, blow off the porch, deck, pool area, patio etc.
I also have all Dewalt 20v tools so plenty of batteries. I actually bought ten 20v lithium knock offs for $100 and they have worked great.

Ive often wondered about those. I was an eBay victim of either defective or counterfeit Dewalt batteries. Luckily seller took them back as his expense.

I just returned two of the knock off 20V Dewalt no name batteries to Amazon. They wouldn't last 2 minutes on the blower and was rated 5 amps. The 2.5 amp batteries last 15-20 minutes. The regular brand name Dewalt 20V 4amp batteries work pretty good. I bought three of them.

IIRC mine were the older 18v ones as all my tools were the 18v at the time. I've since sold most of them and graduated to the 20v. Still have 18v jigsaw and right angle grinder that I seldom use. I have the adaptor to use 20v in an 18v tool, but wont accept my larger amp batteries. Thinking a black Friday deal may solve this problem. :makeitrain"

Interesting thread. I have a BR 600 backpack blower (gasser) and just last week was wishing I had something smaller and lighter for the minor jobs (I wanted to blow some partial stacks off of leaves and pine needles before adding more splits). Good timing of this thread. My DeWalt tools are all the old 18v but I do have a newer EGO battery mower and weed whacker. I also have a Stihl MSA220 saw with AP300 battery. After perusing this thread, reading some of the reviews in the link below, and learning Stihl is having a sale, I think I may opt for the BGA 86 (blower only, I don't need another battery or charger at this time).

I have the Dewalt 20V and Kobalt 40V handheld leaf blowers. The Dewalt seems like a faster stream but less volume. I prefer the Kobalt because the battery lasts longer and the extra volume is usually more useful than the extra velocity.
