Mass quantities of Smoothies and pellet dust

 

Chit, I'm learning all sorts of good stuff already. Wife's gonna be thrilled..
I see a night out sleeping w/ the pellets in the woodshed, in my very near future..

Ok, so the Sam Adams was tasty, found a Miller Lite waaayyy in the back of the fridge, with 4/15 date on it.
I think that was a 'manufactured' date, 'cause it's tasting -mighty fine- to me right now..

Note to self: put BEER on the list of things to pickup tomorrow.

Ok, so here's some wacky Chit I'm sure you Dwellers can appreciate - I've been thinking of ways to increase the heat efficiency of the little Ecoteck stove here.

Options are:
--
1) Add mass on top of the heat exchanger, which is visible & accessible on this stove, close and duct the heat down to floor level, and / or

2) Add a heat reclaimer to the exhaust flue piping, to heat one of: air, water, or oil - if water, pipe into a 15-30 gal. mass storage container, and route downstairs to a "radiator" installed in the Forced Hot Air furnace ducting.

I was thinking of using a retired Beer Keg (Stainless Steel) for the reclaimer housing. Piping (copper) would be wound inside the Keg housing, 3" pellet pipe connections would be cut & welded for the inlet & exhaust.

What do you guy's think about this idea?

To cellar dweller who came up with the idea, AKA Plain-ol-Poo of the Cellar Dwellers organization, I suppose I will ask to enroll as a proud "fire keeper", persuant to the un-enforceable guidelines of said fraternity: as a member, I hereby promise to continue to drink beer to the standards of the cellar members the likes of will711, jtakeman, wait. BUUUUURRRP!, cleanfire, Russell, smokeythebear, smoke show (what? really?), and all honorable status Cellar Dwellers. ( Drinking, Stove Tinkering, and always collecting whatever is free and then properly drying, or seasoning "of the" said cordwood, or long standing dead chit I can drag back to my "underworld" dwelling). I PROMISE.

So. Can I join and be a part of the cellar?

So what do I have to do to join? I truly have a cellar dweller (P61a), so do I get an automatic pass to just change my sig?

 

Trying to wrap my head around what you are trying to accomplish here-radiant heat? If so, I am not sure the stove would produce the heat levels required to make this work properly. I may need another cup of coffee to think better though
