Nice job all the way around.. Chaz and Chazsbetterhalf …. Besides Chaz why are you using those expensive pallets…. We have to buy them for our one customer… …
Ok here is some more pics. Starting to bring rounds in. And we are going to have rain on and off all day. The one pic shows how much distance is between the wall and the wood. Not a penny paid for pallets.
Sure do. We have some grading to do outside that door. Once that is done, we'll be able to drive right out. Sure helps to saving the back.
These pallets are seriously nice. BIL works as security at Siemens Energy here, they were getting rid of these all the time. Grabbed every one I could lay hands on. Unfortunately they are shuttering the factory and a LOT of jobs are being lost. Gonna devastate many livelihoods in this small community.
Thanks much Dennis. Actually, once my friend is done with the splitter, I intend to try and work on putting up wood all through the fall and winter, now that I have a space that is out of the weather. Plan on tackling the pole logs once I have all the wood inside. Plan to put the logs (6' length sections) in the back section, and cut to size there, then split & stack inside.
New addition to the barn. Beer fridge. Chaz got it free from a coworker. That is Chaz best friend Steve.
Afternoon all. We started on this pile but just a couple logs in Chaz was having issues with the chain saw. Something to do with the brake. So was time quit. Here is the little bit that got done.
Lost the deflector on the left side of the muffler. Things got hot quickly. Looked for the deflector, but no luck.
Been awhile since I did any posting. Thought I'd show you what Chaz has been up to. Chaz has been working on the tri-axel logs that we had gotten last year. He cut them in 6' length then stacked them in the lean-to area. Yesterday started to cut them into rounds. View attachment 340191 View attachment 340193 The clock is Chaz's SS gift from @jstromberg. (Sorry if I missed spelled it). Some that he had split over the month. The rounds are cherry and beech.
Long time since any updates.. As most can imagine, this has been a game changer, and I have absolutely zero regrets. A couple quick pics.. Thanks to jtstromsburg for the first decorative item put up.. many thanks. Second.. a little tool storage.. And now a short walk through.. I neglected to show the lighting.. Will update shortly.
