Nice! After the purlins go on, they'll have it tinned in no time. Just curious, do the Amish know you're photographing them? Around here they'd walk off the job if they knew you were.
Many of them are OK with distant shots like that...especially if there is no frontal/facial shots...only the strictest of sects will have a problem with shots like these. Almost none will "pose" for a shot though...
Yes, permission was asked as we do know their reluctance for photos. Basically brenndatomu state's the same as the guy we hired. vvvv
Yes they do know. I asked if it was ok and was told yes but he did state he did not want his face in any of the pics. So I have been careful about that.
Ditto I and I have one! Built wrong on slope in sand without gutters and downspouts what you think happened on south side hint is 3 foot lower than north side.. erosion previous owner even bolted PT 2x6 to lower side but never fixed problem
Last 2 pics till Monday. Considering Owen was working with a 17 yr old and a 14 old. They did pretty good. Roof is scheduled for Monday. Cement as it stands is Wednesday. The bad thing is their driver was in an accident today. Belive he totaled his truck but he only recieved minor injuries. Now I think we have a change of plans. Chaz wants another lean to on the other side. Oh help me. Oh the lean to is 12x40'
Lol thanks but the stove is at the house. Barn and lean to are for wood. He can split and dry it there and then bring it to me when I need it. Rotflmao
Heh.. she didn't read the membership guidelines. It's an FHC members duty to help spend other people's money, am I correct?? BTW, we have 4 of the required 6 posts, plenty of excess concrete mix, it would require more wood for beams and perlins, as well as metal and labor costs. I asked Owen to figure out a number $$ and let the "banker" know on Monday. We shall see.
I don’t know the specifics but you all might want to consider compacting before the concrete is poured. Cracked Crete sucks!
