Last Sunday I got 2 jugs of the TSC bar oil on sale. I noticed the TSC brand grease, hydraulic and gear oil was on sale too. $10 or more off 5 gallon buckets.
Stopped at TSC yesterday. They had 4 gallons store brand on shelf. $7.99. Not on sale. I was looking for motor oil for the splitter. None in stock.
like the sign, ''while supply lasts'' good old phycology 101,they get the price where they want it, then, you'll have all you need.
Stopped by TSC yesterday. I had two gallons of their bar oil on reserve when it came in. Was supposed to be the third week this month. None in yet. WTH! Almost out of the gallon i bought. I was at my OPE guy yesterday too. Echo PE and bar oil was 15% off as the rep was there yesterday only. I think dealer price was $12.99 for Echo.
Current gallon ran out and went to Advance Auto and bought a gallon of their brand. $12 plus tax. The stuff was red and looked like cough syrup when i poured it out. Had stopped at TSC to check the status of my layaway two gallons and nothing in yet.
Bet it's a trick to fill the saws from that, or carry it out to the cutting site. That would last me a lifetime.
A hand pump & old oil jugs will do the trick. I usually carry 2 gallon in the pickup. It will last me awhile, I won’t have to worry about running by the store to grab any bar oil. Closest store is 15 miles during the week, 25 miles on a weekend.
Happened to be going by Tractor supply today, had time and stopped. 3 gallons of their brand way up on a top shelf that i could barely reach. Grabbed two, went to the service desk to confirm my rain check and i was good to go out the door for $16.99. About time. Should keep me lubed well into next year.
I can’t believe how much trouble it is to some of you guys to get bar oil. I could have bought several pickup loads of the stuff yesterday
Big box stores have it but a bit pricey at over $10 gallon. I paid over $13 for my last gallon at Advance auto parts. OPE dealers are expensive too. Best was $7 gallon at TSC. TSC has had the shortage since i posted this thread. They've always had a huge shelf of it.
Yup, Blain's Farm and Fleet. They have 42 stores in 4 states. 14 in WI, 19 in IL, 4 in MI, and 5 in IA... It's a farm related store, the one closest to me is way bigger than any of the TSC stores I've seen. I'm still using the last of my Husqvarna B/C oil, so no idea on the Mystik, but at that price I thought I'd try it,
