Stopped by my local TSC again today. No bar oil so i asked. Girl goes in back and come out with a gallon of Husky oil which i declined at $16.99. Got a rain check for 2 gallons of their brand at $8 gallon. 2-3 week wait! We'll see?
Checked at tsc Wednesday, no gallons or quarts of house brand bar oil. Didnt see any brands as a matter of fact. Picked up a gallon of echo brand bar oil for 17 from a bumper to bumper auto parts store the other day just to give it a whirl. They also had a parts master brand for bucks 9 a gallon.
Just paid $28.00 for two gallons of Ace Hardware brand, OUCH! Had to have it & TSC is still out of stock. Gavorosalini I like the Partsmaster branded stuff around here. Usually Ashland Oil Co./Valvoline.
Thats good to know about the partsmaster brand. I had never heard of it. All their gallons ( 2 total) were covered in dust and cigarette ash, so i was a little hesitant.
From what I've heard there isn't much anywhere around in the farm stores. Kinda like ammo, real hit or miss.
Went to TSC yesterday they had 3qts of their brand in stock no gallons. They did have 2 gallons of Husqvarna B&C oil for $16.99 a gallon. I have three gallons of TSC brand at home I guess I can wait.
Menards in Ontario, OH had a full shelf this morning, store brand for $7 / gallon and $9 /gallon for Poulan bar oil.
I called my local TSC (across the street from my workplace) asking about B&C oil since the website showed them out of stock. It's allegedly on sale 2 for $12, but they said they won't be getting any until the first week of October. I'm gonna try that raincheck trick and order 6 gallons. I think I have one gallon left at home so I should be OK for a little while.
Anyone noticed that Stihl Platinum is now clear? My employer buys it not me. Just a bar oil observation and it’s always in stock if you want to buy a box of 4gal for $77
