Fish, or just in general? If it's fish, we need to use those jumping Asian carp in the Illinois river before they get into the great lakes.
I think those afflicted with Asian carp are overlooking a grand tourism opportunity. Load up folks on a pontoon boat with 12 gauges and 9 shot. Have a chase boat to pick up the floaters. Contract with some farmers to use the carcasses as fertilizer.
I agree. Anyone that has quick access to the river when they jump, hit me up. I've got all the PPE already. Supposedly they taste good though too.
When I was a kid my uncle wood give us boys a can a worms and tell us don't bring no carp back under 20". We'd go catch a few biguns and bring them back. He'd let them "mud out"in a big water trough for a week or so with a garden hose trickling in. Then he'd smoke them. Best danged smoked fish I ever had. While we were fishin he'd peruse the sale ads for bar oil !
Just don't kick Menard's. Paul Menard is the richest resident of Wisconsin. He races in NASCAR too. There are several Menard's stores in the northern great lakes states. You can buy building supplies, power equipment, food, pet supplies, carpeting, cleaning supplies, plants in summer, etc. Pretty much everything in one spot. No gasoline outside of the quick fuel cans though, and the food areas are limited to beef jerky, cereal peanuts etc, soda, water, and frozen pizza.
Sound like a great place. The closest one to Maryland is Ohio. I might have to check it out the next time I wander up there.
All we have in my town is lowes. Not cheap on lots of things. Local stores beat them on certain items.
Think about misprint opportunities. Local newspaper ad could say, "Mynards coming to town" or "Mynards is competing Lowe's"
He's based out of Eau Claire, WI. It's john Menard, Paul is his kid, and NASCAR driver. John is worth 9.8 billion dollars per Forbes magazine in 2015. Take a look at this map. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...ows-wealthiest-person-in-each-state/13562371/ Sconnie is doing pretty darn good in that regard compared to most states. Ahem, even much better than the richest in Minnesota, since you had to try and go there.
