My Stihl dealer said he has seen a couple in the last few months. I'm wondering if it isn't a run on bad bearings?

Bad run of bearings, or bad QC checks on a run of bar assemby? The laminations could be off.

The bar I had trouble with is several years old now and very lightly used.

Yea I was gonna say its just the cost of a saw. Sometimes bars go bad and just wear out as well :)
