    So that is what they look like! I always thought they were more like a raspberry or loganberry. Sure looks good. :drool:

    Yes I did. :p Strange thing, most recipes didn't use the traditional apple pie filling. I basically made mini apple pies without the pan.

    Would you please share the recipe? They would be great for potluck desserts. Wouldn't last very long.

    First, I tried this recipe: http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/apple-peanut-butter-cookies

    * I was never happy with the dough and thought the cookies were "cake like".
    * Second go around I switched out the grated apples for apple chunks and cut back on the peanut butter
    * Always added chopped peanuts (eyeballed)

    Second recipe: http://www.kingarthurflour.com/recipes/basic-drop-cookies-recipe

    * Tastes more like a cookie to me
    * Added 4 TB peanut butter and chopped peanuts (eyeballed)
    * Added chopped apples
    * Cut back on the cooking time

    I'm liking the King Arthur recipe. Still trying to find a good balance between flavors since I am creating this on my own. Other ideas I have are to add chocolate chips and maybe caramel chips, if there is such a thing as caramel chips. I'm relatively new to baking.

    Test out the recipes first. See what you think.

    I don't know if there are caramel chips but there are butterscotch chips. I will have to try the recipe this coming week.

    My girlfriend makes some really good and simple pumpkin cupcakes using pie filling and a couple other ingredients. I don't really remember the recipe, I just eat em :D
