Yeah the AWF I believe will win sleeper pellet of the year.

That being said I had great luck with a few other box store stuff as well as the AWF. The Stove Chow, FSU and the current Lignetics have all been great.

If I had the space and the extra change right now, I would be keeping a close watch on HD and if those AWF came back in,...... well, they wouldn't be sitting around long! I broke my piggy bank on this stove, so I really need to burn what I have if I am going to keep the wife happy.

The AWF shocked me when I did the boxstore test. I didn't expect them to be anything more than mediocre. And when we found them again this season I still tried a couple before I stuffed JIC. Once I tried, I went back and got more and a lil more and even some more for good measure. I'd fill my stash if I find them again in April.

From what I found this season near me, AWF 1st and PTL's are my second choice, Then its the Stove Chow.

Okay. Thanks. Too many to keep track of.

Could you make a quick list of abbreviations for pellets with what they stand for that sell up in this area and order of quality. Then I can print it out and put it in my wallet. So when I see pellets for sale I can take a quick look and be sure I buy the good ones! I know most don't care for green supremes or Currans. Two that are readily available here. :(

Self respect, isn't that what you get from people being nice and friendly to you by not making you do anything that you don't want to or FEEL is beneath you o_O:whistle:.

I've got around 2.5 tons left. My Somerset stash us dangerously low, only 14 bags left. I went through more sets than I thought during the cold snaps.

No danger of running out unless winter drags into June. I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for spring early buys and see if I can score a few ton. But, I'm not sure if there will be any spring deals this year. I'm guessing my local pellet house has sold a lot more this year than in the past few years.

At one point the local stove store had a pellet you guys said burned hot and not much ash. I wish I had bought 3 ton of them. They were selling for $250/ton cash. I thought, it's just the camp and keeping it at 45. :(... Trying to remember what they were now. I never looked at them, just talked to them on the phone. Made in Canada. Hardwood I think.

$250 would have been a nice price. Over $300 here in central MA

Hey. If I have a "less than quality" pellet, not that I would buy any of those. :rolleyes:Could I turn my low burn air up one more notch to try to prevent crusted clinkers from clogging up the burn pot? Current 3 lower settings are on 1-5-1. Thanks.

I didn't think they would run out in the beginning of Feb.! I was also being cheap. Lowes had the Timber Heats for $217/ton so I bought those. Should have bought several ton of both. Oh well. Live and learn. I will be cleaning the stove much more with these things that remind me of the Grinch!

Maybe I'm not catching what your throwing?

Did you not have chores and things you didn't want to do as a child?

And for the record. He enjoys it..

I'd love to stuff 4 tons of these in my basement for next year, but now that HD has a limit, I doubt I'll get the chance even if they get more in. I'm only paying $188 for these with the veterans discount. I can't find anything as good anywhere near that price.

Yes you are missing the whole thing, think touchy feely, don't make Junior or Missy do anything they don't want to or you'll hurt the kids self esteem don't even think about competition, baloney that gets continually promoted by certain groups.

Me, I've had to do all kinds of things I never wanted to do and I'm certain each of our "kids" have as well.

Take a good look around Dexter.
