Well, I gave it another good bath in carb cleaner, let it pool up in that little hole/ drain. Did that a couple times and also did the wire wiggle.

It's working now at WOT. However, that click/ rattle sound persists and it only happens with that body in there.

That straw deal sure was not an easy clean, but good call Mag Craft it would appear you nailed the problem down in my case. I'm a tinkerer and stubborn, a good combination for these stupid little problems; except when it keeps me up at night.

That click, rattle sound happened now and then last year but after I got it running right this year it never happened again and I ran a half a tank through it blowing leaves.
I will be sure to run the gas out of that sucker from now on before I store it, it will be getting used a lot yet this year though

I have the same backpack blower and it's roughly 6 years old with no issues. I have abused the heck out of it and it still runs great. Now you all have me worried that I need to be draining the fuel on it lol. Glad you got yours going again! I would be screwed without mine during the fall as I spend days blowing leaves every fall.

Yeah, it had me worried because like you, I'm screwed without it.
I hope I don't have any more problems.
I cleared most of the leaves out once but, as you know now it doesn't look like I did anything

Haha same thing here! I no sooner got done than the wind picked up, it poured down rain and now looks like I never touched the yard.

Here is a picture of the pile I had going on. When I'm blowing the rows get so big I can't blow them anymore so I break out the tractor and start pushing. This pile is over 8' tall and probably 15' in diameter. You can see in the last pic the pile is bigger and taller than the tractor!

Once I blow them out into the underbrush they stay there pretty good, especially if it rains.
Then I have a wire fence on one side I blow them right through it and they stay over there.
There is a lot of leaves up there yet that have to drop though

Blow, mulch, bag (with the mower). So many maple trees on my 1 acre lot I really can't skip a step.

Good news, neighbor used his repaired blower yesterday and said it ran great. I think the advice is common to all OPE, if the gas sits too long you are asking for trouble.
