Unfortunately I have the story parents dread to hear as well. Back when I had my first house I had a Timberwolf stove bought and set up in October and it was finally getting cool out to burn. My daughter wasn't much older than your son. I had the stove lit but also had the kid gate on delivery. Even then I told her HOT and no. I ran to the kitchen to put my plate from dinner on the counter, turned around and my daughter comes flying around the corner where the stove was and the kitchen. I knew it even before it happened and the look on her face as well. Her poor hand. Those flames are pretty to watch behind glass. I'll never forget the drive to the UC. She remembers that lesson pretty well today too. The gate afterwards was a worthy investment for anyone who has kids, dogs and cats who don't learn and more.
