Yes, bratwurst. In fact, I had one for dinner tonight. It was delicious. I'll get some gas for the splitter this week and finish that up. Next Saturday will be HOT again, so we'll be on the lake, then Sunday it's off to Summerfest on the Lakeshore with friends. The Neighborhood plays at 10pm, with an 80s cover band we like earlier, and Capital Cities at 8pm.
Awesome! Great job bud!!!! Ima call that tree guy and have him drop you off some off the stump 30” diam. shag..... tomorrow. No rest for you!!!!
Once I get the wood stacked, I'll have a better feel for exactly how much it is, but I'm pretty sure I get 2/3 cord on that trailer when loaded that tall. At worst it's a half cord, then it'd be like 2.33 cords. If it's 2/3 cord a load, then it will be around 3 cord. Either way, it's at least a half a year of wood for my heating season.
On those stoopid hot and muggy days (if you get another “¥ou $uck-worthy) load of freebie rounds, put up an EZ up canopy and a box fan when splitting. Makes the unbearable heat more than tolerable. And puts freshly split/stacked wood in the drying zone sooner than early fall.... BTDT
Great score Horkn ! Free wood is always welcome, especially when it's delivered to your home. Don't any of your neighbors heat with wood? It sounds like you've got a monopoly going on in your part of Wisconsin! Stay cool. That heat is heading our way here in PA for the weekend and into next week.
My neighbors only burn in fire pits during the warmer months. It was hot 2 weekends ago, last weekend was just nice, so I worked on Saturday in the pile pretty hard. Sunday on the lake all day was my reward forf my hard work on saturday. Tonight was the last cooler evening, before it gets stormy tomorrow. Then the heat returns Thursday - Sunday. Saturday is going to be sunny and 95° . So a boat day on Saturday. I'm thinking I'll try the leaf sweeper towed behind the tractor to get the sawchips and noodles up and off of the grass.
