I'd love to post a picture but I better not. On my toolbox at work I have the original logo with the woman's knees up where the pound of butter she's holding should be... I've had it on my box for 20 years and it's staying there

And my wife is not "reaping the financial rewards" from Eastman Kodak.
Her grandfather grew up in Fort Ann, NY and is related to George Eastman.
Why are her descendants entitled to financial rewards?

If you can't have a person's picture on a product because of certain sensitivities then the fair thing to do is to take everyone's mug off of all products. Let's take the Quaker Oats guy off the box because his hat is reminiscent of dark days in this country's history. The Dutch Boy paint kid has to go because he's a colonist personally responsible for countless atrocities. Heck, I think he may have even been King Leopold of Belgium's nephew! I don't know what the answer to all this is. We could go pretty far down the rabbit hole here... Maybe only advertise products with pictures of people that are an admixture of every single ethnicity on the planet, therefore they couldn't possibly offend anyone. Who knows what the endgame here is. All I know for certain is that the more you keep differentiating/separating people into groups and classifying them according to group identity rather than as an individual, the further away you get from peaceful coexistence.

So you are comparing that to slavery?

She did not get much money out of it either, worked as a housekeeper until close to her death, did not even have a decent headstone until recently after raising money for it.

We're about to go off the deep end here. I'll add one more thing then shut up on the subject. Sometimes I get resentful that I have to go to work 6 days a week to be able to provide for my family. After a while it feels like slavery, especially after not getting enough of a break for extended periods. It can really put my attitude in the hole. Then I remember nobody is going to do this for me, nor should they. The life decisions I've made led me to where I am. I could've been a bachelor with no kids working no more than 40 hours a week. Long vacations every winter in Belize, cruises, travelling all over the world. Things could've been easier that way. But the important thing to realize is I can't blame wealthy people with multiple houses, servants, and Lamborghinis for my lot in life. The poor aren't poor because the rich are rich, and the middle class aren't middle class because the upper class has somehow cheated them out of something better.

Sounds like Nancy Green just played aunt Jemima at the worlds fair serving pancakes, does not sound like she had much to do with the business end of it or the pancake mix itself.

Personally I love Aunt Jemima syrup. Seeing her smiling face as a kid, while eating delicious hot pancakes on a cold morning just felt like being home. The best days were, no school, no work, and mom's home made pancakes. Good times!!

Seeing her smiling face on the box conjures up those same nostalgic memories for me. It'll take time for me to look at a picture of a mill on a river and get those same warm fuzzy feelings but maybe I'll get there someday :)

IDK, seems like a huge stretch to me, do they beat you at work, control where you sleep, pay you very little if any thing for work, maybe put chains on you.

Well you work for food water and shelter. Or you work for money to provide food water and shelter. In that way they are sorta similar. However the points you brought out they are very different.

Is it me or is society not going to be happy until every non caucasian is taken off every product image/mascot/statue, and only caucasians are left displayed? Isn't that kind of backwards for what we are going for as a society??
