We made a big dent in the wood pile today. It was pretty warm today, but it cooled off nicely as the rain passed nearby. We didn’t spend a lot of time on it, but we put a nice dent in the pile. If it isn’t raining tomorrow, we’ll put the wood in totes. We have filled 17 totes so far. I have to clear a space to put them because they are quickly filling the driveway and yard. It feels good to have a portable storage system for wood. These totes might not be the most durable, but they get the job done. I’m curious to see how long they last. I think we might have split close to a quarter of the pile so far. Maybe. I’d have to get a good look and figure it out. We have split 8 cord in addition to what we split today. So probably 11-ish cord total.
