Are different states better than others when it comes to getting VA services? Have heard Maine vets say things here are pretty good.

I have allergies and asthma . You can try different over the counter allergy meds. I have found the Claritin 12 hour works best for me. The Zyrtec also.
The 24 hour meds don't work as well but will take them after a 2 or 3 day run of 12 hour meds. The 12 hour meds tend to make me dizzy after 3+ straight days of taking them.
My doc told me to pop a med as soon as I noticed the slightest little symptom and it's worked well for me. Used to get really sick from allergy/sinus drainage. Now if I catch it early, no problems. First symptoms are usually itchy ears/eyes. The hard breathing usually occurs if I don't catch it in time. Don't have to use an inhaler yet. Doc told me eventually I will.

Have you called your VA Rep yet? Have you written to your congressman and senators? I want to tell you, I retired from the VA. They Don't want anymore heartburn. The squeaky wheel is the one that gets greased. You need a pulmonary assessment. Not a cop out. Write down everything you went through and then present it. You need to make the move. A bad experience with an MD visit should not put you in defeat.
