How many hours on the new splitter motor? Due for another oil change?? It is the life blood for that thing.
The first one went south most likely due to lack of maintenance. Don't want to lose another.

Split last Sundays load (black birch, beech and sugar maple) and then some (sassafras) this afternoon. IMG_4973.JPG IMG_4974.JPG IMG_4972.JPG Snowed for a bit. IMG_4971.JPG Some wood coming back home to top off a half cord and to start refilling bundle wood racks. Sugar maple, sassafras, red maple, and cherry. Need four cords worth of splits for bundle wood here. Stacking here on the agenda for tomorrow. IMG_4976.JPG IMG_4975.JPG

I worked wood today in about the same amount of snow. Took a broom with me to clean the logs off.

I had top covered those rounds in case i opted to split in the snow. Todays dusting was a half inch or so. Couple inches overnight kinda surprised me. The rest from Tuesdays storm.

We had no snow on the ground until yesterday. 2 inches or so and flurries blowing around most the time I was cutting. Warm up coming with some rain mid week so I'm not sure how soon I'll get back out. I really should start splitting, have about 5 cord to get through.

Look at those stacks! I couldn't get that consistent on my miter saw. Very impressive!

Yep. It was today. Lol. I also used my garden tractor a number of days ago with the mostly empty trailer to get recycling stuff together to take to the recycling center.

As usual, u da man! What a score. Your perpetual score-making makes me wonder about your truck... is it 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton, what year is it, how long have you had it and have you ever had to do transmission work, lol!

2008 F150 half ton. Bought used Halloween 2017 with 124K miles. Pushing 190k miles if memory serves me well. Former fleet vehicle so it was well maintained. No tranny work, just a 2-3 starters, brakes, tires etc. Ive done nothing to modify the suspension either. Best $3900 ive ever spent.

well just a drop in the bucket more or less. Hopefully the back rack (holds 2.25 cords) will be close enough to empty soon to start refilling after some maintenance work. The other stack is 1.75 cords under the house overhang and is emptying as well.

Not to worry Jason. It will be added to buzz-saw's hoard once the snow melts and we can cut there. Id rather not cut with snow cover as im sure he doesnt either. Hopefully it will still be there.

Split most of the sassafras and some tulip from the prior score. Most came back home for bundle wood. IMG_4984.JPG IMG_4983.JPG IMG_4977.JPG Stockpile of rounds slowly going down. Maybe a cord of them on hand. IMG_4978.JPG IMG_4980.JPG IMG_4979.JPG

Thats my next goal since the rack is now empty at BL only storage. Problem is snow cover. I need it dry to work my little stashes of them. Plus my other work has been keeping me busier than usual for this time of year.
