Instead of a article of what wood is good to burn maybe someone could write an article on how to stack wood and the advantages of wood stacked properly for the long haul.
I will stick to the 3 year plan thank you Savage.

This is so true and it applies to a lot more things in life than firewood! Sadly there are many who count on this gullibility for profit. Sheeple are just so willing to accept dogma as fact because they’re typically too damm lazy to do their own proper research and prefer to relegate their life changing decisions to someone else. It’s madness and I’ll never understand it, but it’s rampant in this apathetic world we live in today.

    100% agree. :salute: :handshake:
Speaking of apathy (and laziness)... I may have said this a few months ago, but my brain has been scrambled eggs since November, but anyways-
I was listening to a conversation about how the new online grocery shopping setup that Wally World has implemented is just for “lazy people.”
Whoa- hold the phone bro- this is actually a good thing for say, a single parent that wants to spend more time with their children... a LEO thanked one of the associates for the service as he was working back to back shifts because the local force had been hit hard by the flu... and who really needs to go into a germ infested store during the height of virus season anyway...?
Besides these easily recognized reasons to shop online, I thought to myself, “Lazy people??? WTF! Shopping for (fresh) groceries in general is F’kn lazy if you could produce the essential produce in a garden, and had the capability to harvest your meat from hunting....” o_O
Disclaimer- I’m speaking to people of physical soundness. Not taking anything away from folks who have any particular limitations, be it physical or mental constraints.
    Carry on... :salute:

My 6 year old boy can be a real challenge unlike my daughter who was an angel at his age. My wife does everything for our family and goes to school for her masters, works full time also. Takes care of the kids because im always at it with the firewood business/ my real job and other chores that go with owning a home. So if she can order groceries online from walmart without having the added stress of bringing a fired up full of energy little boy into a store that is full of Madness then heck ya, i think its great. They can tell when you arrive by your phone, they replace things they dont have with larger or better product without extra charge. She gets out and helps the employee load her truck and tries to tip but they never accept. What i dont like is capable people just sitting in there car being lazy and not helping or barely engaging the person like a human. Thats just my opinion. If your disabled than of course thats a different story.

So y'all fine folks on here have convinced me that i won't cause the Apocalypse if i burn seasoned pine. This is great, cause 1) that is typically the consensus round these here parts
    2) i have access to all sorts of wood, including pine
    3) pine seasons faster (along w red maple and yellow poplar) since I'm kinda behind on the truly seasoned wood game..
    4) i have several dead standing pines in my woods, beckoning to me

But a question...does pine just need to be below the 20% number that is thrown around, or should i be looking for another (lower) number?

Btw, my moisture meter is sitting at home depot waiting for pick up, so i should have it next week. As silly as it sounds I'm lookong forward to testing some wood and seeing what i get!

Nah. 20% or lower is fine. Even up to about 25% is fine but just not as good. I burn 90% pine and have never had an issue. The great thing about pine is getting to 20% or lower is not a problem.

That is not silly at all. Alot of people out there consider 30% and under is good for burning, i know my state considers that under 30 is seasoned. However the closest to 20 and under you can get only maximizes the success of all aspects in the full potential of your wood and stove.
