I have s very good SSAD light. it was provided to me by the VA. Alaska Northern Lights Bright Light Therapy Box North Star 10,000 lux. Cannot be lower than 10,000 Lux and be effective. This is big. the VA doesn't buy junk. You need to use it first thing in the morning. using it later may interfere with your sleep. You can OD on Vit D. so have your levels checked. Mine is well maintained on 2000 mcg's. Also take B12. I stopped with the injectable b12 because of the highs and lows. I need a consistent level so I take an oral does sublingual. (under the tongue) I have the osteo kind of arthritis. For me, painful hands, big nobbs on the finger joints. I have arthritis in all my joints. My knees are bone on bone.. No surgery because I am too fat, and have blood clotting issues. Already been in CCU for a blood clot going from my leg to my lungs. some sort of genetic blood clotting issue. What helps me is forcing myself to not be so isolated, and using the heated pool at the VA. (90 F) only 3 miles from home.
