    The flywheel side runs the electric clutch. The other end runs the driveshaft to the hydro transaxle

    Rod broken crank needs regrind on rod big end. Also the cam is broken

    So that's not ok that I can pull the Piston and most of the rod through the top of the engine with the head off?

    Found a magnum 18 on eBay, that has free Local pick up.

    TurboDiesel is close I believe...and I think there are quite a few others too...Tim would know who is in the area...and maybe someone could "FHC relay" it closer to ya...you'd probably hafta come to backwoods savage' GTG in a few weeks to get it though (Michigan) but you need to come to that anyways... ;) :D

    I like this idea, because I could bring the old kohler engine and we could compare the magnum 18 to the kt17 over a beer or 5.

    You are correct! I am in that area. I haven't been on much so I dont know what's going on here but I'll try to get caught up on this thread tomorrow sometime.

    I would be glad to pick this engine up. Give me the name and address of who has it and I'll bring it to the GTG. It should be no problem as I plan to bring my truck.
