That's generally what they are selling for around here this season. The listing of the "regular" price is a gimmick some stores do to trick you into thinking you are getting an outstanding deal.

Example: At this store, Genevas normally sell for $329/ton, but you could buy them for the discounted price of $269/ton; if they were in stock.

I think it's also a sign of how high pellet prices had gone and the adjustment now taking place compared to other fuel prices . I know I'm not going anywhere next to $ 300 a ton at this point . I don't think DF is worth $ 350 maybe $ 300 .

True that TT not only pellets , most things are marked up then prices slashed to where they should have been in the 1st place just another marketing game .

I used to work with a women who worked for one of those fancy dress shops in NYC and she told me that dresses they had listed for $ 700 they only paid about $ 100 bucks for so for a 50 % off sale you still getting Hosed Big Time

I have a good friend that used to be a bartender at a sorta fancy wine and cheese bar. He said they made a profit off the first glass, of the first bottle of wine in the case. That glass of wine was like $14 lol

I actually took a wine class in college. Professor was a hardcore wine guy, traveled the world. He basically said, anything over 30 a bottle is a scam. This was 15 ago. Basically, the higher cost stuff is just story telling money, there is no quality benefit. This was a guy in his sixties that drank the stuff his whole life. Me, I can't stand the stuff, so I have no opinions on the matter.
