Think I will stay inside, and start burning the furniture. :coldone::fire::usa:

Our snow was not "wet" but it was very heavy and packed down like it had been walked on. Very dense.

I got about 10 inches. It was 35 degrees at one point and the snow mixed with rain. Our town got quite a bit of flooding from the storm surge. I expected to lose power last night but we never did. I was a happy guy! Now, let's get through the cold for the next couple of days and get some warm weather in here!

Betsy & the ladies would love that G - but unfortunately, nothing will fit inside the small pellet Hopper.

    * I've taken the liberty to hide all saws & other wood-cutting equipment, just in case.. The ladies are resourceful here.

Up on Mt Washington -38, -97 windchill.
Watched a Windows to the Wild episode Wed where they went up to the weather observatory by snowcat and spent the night. The living quarters are below ground but they could still hear the wind roaring. Episode repeats tonight at 11pm on Ch 11 (11.1 for over the air viewers) and tomorrow at 5:30 (11.2 NHPBS Explore) & 6 pm (11.1 ). Doesn't seem to be available to watch online.

Went down to dad's today down by Boston. The ride down had the truck blowing around on 95. Whole time there, the wind was howlin'...seemed calmer on the ride back.

I may have to re-think going in tonight and stay close to home, current temps. here are -5F, feels like -15F ..

    And dropping .. Eesh. :shiver:

I can remote in for most of the checks & maintenance - physical reset of equipment can wait a day or two, after it warms up some.. Or I can just go in early tomorrow am and do it if needed. I think I just convinced myself. Time to get busy.

Hope you had a great visit G - and Thanks for the ride info: been windy over here in SW NH also all day, windier than what wunderground has been saying. * Certainly feels that way, at least up on the mountain here.

Thanks much, not anticipating any issues, but you all know how it is - the chit usually hits the fan at the most extreme time: not taking any chances tonight.
