I have a 1/2 ton in my stash that I got from Joe at Bucks pellets last fall , I didn't roast 1 bag yet , they got buried under some of the other stuff and we never got that long spell of really cold temps . I saved them with that said will I grab some more this year Yes I will
Stopped at Joe's this AM and picked up a few bags of Barefoots to try before weather warms up. still have some good stash left including the Hard to get Energex Goldens.. the other small pile are what's left of my Polar vortex night heaters... Sorry for the double Pixs..
at that price i'd continue to burn. 75 miles away and $50.00/ ton more on sale? wish I was travelin by!!! great price for the radiant heat the old jotul throws.
can't believe Energex hardwoods are 15.00 more than the Blazers..[good price for them btw] did I read that wrong/?
Blazers were just dumped on the market , they want to cut their loss and recoup what they can , so the dealer can sell them at a nice price ,this is a one time deal IMO .
I was kinda disappointed with my Blazers this year. Got a few of these babies in my burn pot. Not all the time though. This is from my recent cleaning.
I burned the Energex [green bag] for couple yrs but way too much ash..not worth 270.00 Energex sells them to HD also.. rebagged as the Famous STOVE CHOWS.. That's when I stopped buying them.
I thought the Green Bag was the stuff from Canada, also FSU. The Energex red bag I though was the US stuff and Chow??
Ok Class.. .. here we go.. Energex in upstate Pa makes the Blue/Green bag Hardwoods and the Golden Pellets Hardwoods. Energex Canadian plant makes all the Softwoods and softwood blends. aside from bagging many pellet brands under different names for box stores, the Energex Hardwood blue/green bag are Home depot sold Stove chows..
That is a definitley more of a red bag when you compare the American AND Canadian brands. No one would describe them as both being green when making a comparison lol...and those Goldens are probably just them in a super premium bag. When the Super Premium scam was going on for a while.
Red Bag?? the Golden pellet hardwoods are a different animal...Kiln dried very clean sawdust and actually look like light softwoods.. very low ash.. The American hardwoods I should have stated are blue/green bag.. got my colors crossed.
