He said they have pellets, snow shovels and salt they have nowhere to store. The mulch and garden supplies are already coming in.
I doubt there will be a shortage. I have spied mountains of pellets at a bagging plant. At least 10x the pellets that i have ever seen there at anytime.
Around here, Lowe's is the BBS that adjusted earlier (not early though). Still waiting for HD to do so. However, some are reporting that that their area HD (in NH) are low/out of pellets. Which is weird since every time I visit an HD, there are plenty to be had.
About 3 weeks ago, Lowes had at least 80-100 snow shovels stacked in lawn and garden. I asked a worker there if they knew something that we didnt-like a huge snowstorm coming. He laughed and said "no, we told corporate we had no shovels left and then all the stores started sending us theirs" Waste of money moving inventory like that -I wonder who is in charge of logistics.......
I think they moved them if the room is needed. Rochester Lowes had at least 50 ton in lawn and garden 2 weeks ago with nothing but small piles of sawdust there 2 days ago. Those had to have been moved, I doubt that they were sold from the store. Unless they just moved them around back-I didnt look there.
HD here selling Thermaglow @ $4.00/bag....will be looking for some FSU, something I trust in a shoulder pellet. Reviews on the Thermaglow average.
Doing my best to not give in to the BBS $3.99 sales, in hopes that local dealers will offer some equivalent (or close) prices on really great softies. Really hoping to pick up some Vermonts, Vanderhoof Platinums, LaCretes, Blazers, etc. for a similar price. Praying this stubborn patience pays off and doesn't leave me wishing I had jumped on a BBS deal.
FSU's are better than ThermaGlo. Trying to use as much of the ton of TG's that I have left while it isn't too cold out now. Want to safe the Presto's, the few bags of FSU's and all the Inferno's for next year. Will be cleaning the stoves every 2 weeks using the TG's . Hey, got nothing else to do, so it gives me something to look forward to
The Lowes up here was the first, and as far as I know, the only BB to drop prices this year. The last I looked, HD was still at $5.18.
Yes, That is what HD is here also .... BUT .... At seasons start they were 279 a ton (5.58 a bag). They dropped their price in December IIRC
I haven't heard all that much talk about the Crabbes. My stove dealer sells them and Lacrete and he didn't indicate to me they were anywhere near as good as Lacrete.
Dude ,you better jump on this BB deal , for shoulder season Chit , if nothing else . You got Harman's you know they eat the cheap chit no problem , And if the really good chit goes on sale buy that too
better save room for some blazers. we probably wont see a price anywhere near what it is now when the inventory overstock is gone
If they show up in my hood I'll make room ,or store in Steve's mom's garage , right next to his tons.
You have two Harman stoves and burn Okies?????????? My Harman burn most anything and puts so much heat out, I have to run it on stat so I won't bake. I only clean the stove about once a month. Running on stat has eliminated the speed bump from taking shape in the burn pot. Burned FSU from HD all winter. Just started on Inferno gold from Lowes because of a substantial price drop.
