Here's a pic from the Wallingford Home Depot; took two days ago. Have to look hard given all the pallets of mulch and soil!

Bought daughter & SIL 3 bags each Timber Heat, Cheat River & Natures Own last week to try and then choose. These are the three 199 per ton per ton pellets at our most local Lowes. They chose Cheat River. So I purchased Cheat River for them (3 ton) and they were delivered this morning. Actually came to 189 per ton with Lowes card discount and shipping was FREE.
After stacking in their shed I loaded the totes for her by the stove, and her hopper.

HOLY CHIT RIVER ---- I have never seen pellets this long. Many well over 2" long and some approaching 3". SIL said they will feed so I said little. Not sure I would have kept them.

I will get pictures next time I stop over to her house.

BTW I was not being magnanimous with the purchase. It was self defense as I have been feeding their stove on and off all winter from our storage as they are going through a hard patch.

On the way home I did a check of BB --- Home Depot NO inventory --- TSC Curran Hardwood (12-15 ton) and Blend (30 ton) -- 4.19 - 4.99 per bag depending on volume. Lowes has perhaps 1000 ton maybe more. At 199 I think it will go quickly despite the apparent suspect quality.

Regardless of the child's age ...... They are still our child .... and they live with our GRANDS.

My little stash of assets will be theirs one day anyway ---- so I might as well pass it on now when I can here a thank you in life instead of squabbling in the afterlife

Noticed on Lowes website that two particular stores around here have much more inventory than the others, so I stopped in at one to have a look. I noticed a Lowes flatbed delivery truck driving *into* the parking lot with 12 tons of random pellets on back. Took a spin out back where the delivery truck went. They had a single straight line of pallets, stacked two high running pretty much the entire length of the building. The delivery truck was dropping off more for the pile. I asked could I take a look at what they have, he said sure. I walked the whole area. They had TH, GS, NA, NO, and GT. As I was walking away and saying thanks for letting me take a look, the guy comments they are not all "our" pellets. I said what does that mean? He says well, technically they all belong to Lowes, but most belong to other stores in the area, and are being brought here for storage at this store - orders from Corporate. Suppose they must be bringing them from stores with less storage space to stores with ample space. Most of these pallets, while not damaged, looked like they had seen better days; like they had been dragged through a mile of mud and back. Have to wonder how long they've been sitting.

Will, I'm interested to know what you think of those AWFWPs. I got some last year and had a tough time with them in the P68. Did you burn any yet?

Got to wonder how many times those pallets have been moved ,and that just adds to the cost , or in this case the loss ,before they are sold .

As of this afternoon, Lowes in Concord, NH still had plenty of GWP and Inferno's. Arranged delivery of 2 more tons of Inferno's so that takes it to 4 tons ready for next year (plus whatever I have left of Pres-To's)
