Oil is is still in free fall.

Watched the business news for a while today and it brings memories. BAD memories.

Several months back we moved our discretionary pension accounts into cash, bonds and utilities (little growth but decent dividends). Glad we did cause their free fall seems a little less steep.

I think we are in for a rocky ride.

    Sadly... I agree.
I'm with Birddog... weathered it a couple of times, but the older we get,
the less time there is to recover.

We are living on our funds and for the most part my risk days are in the rear view mirror.

We tend to be cautious because at our age it is very difficult to recoup losses.

I am even leaning toward the under the mattress investment method.

I still have anywhere from 8-10 years before I touch, so I will ratchet down in 4-5. Like al things ebbs and flows. Once the election is over we shall see. If a cettain person wins I may pull it all out pay the 10% early withdrawal and hide it! I have a couple VERY small pensions that earn 6% flat no matter what, but they will not pay for more than gas and groceries each month!!

HD still says they're sitting on 13 tons of chows at $199ton. I'll be heading there with the trailer saturday morning :vulture:.

I'm still watching oil prices fall in our area. Once it levels off I'll make a few trips with the transfer tank and fill our tank plus the backup tank. I don't believe we'll ever see oil this low again.
