Actually, most people in the northern half of Maine feel that way about the southern half of Maine as well.
Great-great-grandfather originally settled in Damariscotta when he came over. Cabinetmaker / Shipwright. He was so talented they sent him to Boston. Ding! Back to your respective corners gentlemen.
Menards usually has AWF here. If not that, then Sets or Magic Spark sometimes make an appearance. Used to find the occasional pennington or off brand, but Menards usually has good selection. Just wish the closest store wasn't 35 miles away.
The Menards closest to me (18 miles round trip) has had nothing but Michigan pellets this year. They had AWF softies last year, but that was as exotic as it got. The Menards on the south side of Grand Rapids gets more variety, but any savings get thrown out the window on a nearly 60 mile round trip, but I will stop in there if I'm already in the area.
All fun on my end - hope no one thought I was serious! (I was serious about the cheaper alcohol though )
So what are others thoughts on the orford softwoods? I really like em. Virtually no fines. Light fluffy ash. Less ash volume than the spruce pointes ive been burning. Heat seems ok. And to boot they only cost me $200 for the ton. Would take em over the spruce pointes or oakie golds from last uear. Only downside is the smell in the garage.
I am finding ash building up in the burn pot. Today in am going to do the LBT and see if they continue to do so.
Should someone from Wankers Corner, Oregon really be questioning anybody? Really? Wankers Corner? I'm likin' that...
